Shazron Abdullah updated CB-509:
--------------------------------

    Fix Version/s:     (was: 1.7.0)
                   1.8.0

Not going to resolve this until 1.8.0 with the new implementation, since adding the stopLocation
interface does not really fix this bug, but is a work-around.

In 1.7.0, you can do this for iOS:
{code}
    cordova.exec(null, null, "Location", "stopLocation", []);
{code}

>            Priority: Critical

>             Fix For: 1.8.0

>   Original Estimate: 0.5h
>  Remaining Estimate: 0.5h
>
> Calling navigator.geolocation.clearWatch doesn't shut the GPS down.
> It's no longer possible to manually invoke geolocation.stop() (and thus the corresponding
stopLocation function in CDVLocation), which was a temporary solution with previous phonegap/cordova
versions.
> It's quite a problem because an application using the GPS even for a short amount of
time will completely drain the battery in a few hours.
