These phones suck) mdpi: 320x480 (HTC Dream/Magic. Most common low-end resolution.) ldpi: 480x800 (Nexus One, Galaxy Nexus. Most common high-end resolution accounting for 66% of all devices) xhdpi: 720x1280 (Galaxy Nexus) Others can scale the graphics. I'm not going to worry about splash screens on tablets, since we may need to change how the splash screen layout is done on it anyway in a future release due to pixel densities not lining up correctly. It's really not that different on Android than any other platform, as the stats show.
