Subject Re: Loading screen image for 1.5

There are only four resolutions that matter on Android:

http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/screens_support.html
http://developer.android.com/resources/dashboard/screens.html

ldpi: 200x320 (Doesn't really matter. These phones suck)
mdpi: 320x480 (HTC Dream/Magic. Most common low-end resolution.)
ldpi: 480x800 (Nexus One, Galaxy Nexus. Most common high-end resolution
accounting for 66% of all devices)
xhdpi: 720x1280 (Galaxy Nexus)

Others can scale the graphics. I'm not going to worry about splash screens
on tablets, since we may need to change how the splash screen layout is
done on it anyway in a future release due to pixel densities not lining up
correctly. It's really not that different on Android than any other
platform, as the stats show.
