Simon MacDonald commented on CB-145:
------------------------------------

Yes, it should be pretty easy to grab the code from github and do an "ant jar" to generate
the jar/js files. The only thing you should need to do is create a local.properties file in
the framework directory that points to your android sdk. For example:

sdk.dir=/path/to/android/sdk

Yes, it is normal for the .js files to be different for each platform. We are working on normalizing
them across all platforms but it isn't quite ready yet.

Not sure what version of PhoneGap you downloaded. The most recent zip has 1.3.0.

> Project: Apache Callback
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Android
> Affects Versions: 1.1.0, 1.2.0, 1.3.0
> Reporter: Olivier Louvignes

> Fix For: 1.4.0

>
> Crashes with Error 0 on a clean Android device.
> Only works with Google accounts configured.
> Check http://simonmacdonald.blogspot.com/2011/09/saving-contacts-with-phonegap-android.html
> This should clearly be stated on phonegap api/docs. It's a major issue!
> It's quite frustrating to discover (& after a major IOS&Phonegap commitment)
that my beloved framework basic&documented api interactions does not work at all...
> Would love to see this fixed soon !!
