Filip Maj closed CB-134.

    Resolution: Won't Fix

Unfortunately we cannot do that.

There is no programmatic API available to enable that permission. The only way to enable it
is for the user to manually go into the Application settings and edit the permissions for
your specific application.

I suppose this is a security decision by RIM on their platform. Not much we can do.

> I would like to make a feature request for a programmatic method to set the 'Input Simulation'
option to 'Allow'. The default setting is 'Deny' which creates a problem for the user to operate
the PhoneGap camera - the user is not able to use the Back key to submit a camera picture
to the PhoneGap camera callback. Although I have documented the need for the user to manually
set the option to 'Allow', most users do not do so and they encounter an inoperable camera
function for the PhoneGap app.
