Jay Balunas commented on CB-11:
-------------------------------

Perhaps coming at this from a different direction would be good.

This project will likely see a lot more than just phone and tablet "devices" in the near future.
There is already the phonegap-mac, and I would assume windows and linux would be next. All
of these platforms are introducing various forms of HTML based native application support
that would be great for the Callback model.

Perhaps thinking of things in these terms will help sper some ideas. For me, callback is
an ambassador along the lines of envoy, or diplomat. Perhaps playing on these will lead to
something. For example "appbassador".

Barring all of that I say we go with project "puppy" :-)

> During the transition of the PhoneGap project to Apache, the project was renamed to "Callback",
due to some concerns with the name "PhoneGap". It seems that "Callback" isn't a great name
either - it's a commonly used term, and so internet searches of "Callback" bring up too many
non-relevant hits.
> Got something better?
