Subject [jira] [Updated] (BLUR-107) Create checkOutputSpecs check in the BlurOutputFormat
Date Sun, 26 May 2013 06:45:20 GMT

Gagan Deep Juneja updated BLUR-107:

    Attachment: 0001-BLUR-107-checkOutputSpecs-check.patch

I have added validation and test as well. One point I need to discuss is What happen we are
running this first time and table directory itself doesn't exist and which supposed to be
created While writing records using BlurRecordWriter. So for the first time and in our test
cases initially table directory doesn't exist and I bypassed shardcount validation in this
case. What u say?
I am attaching the patch here. Please provide your feedback.

> Using the checkOutputSpecs method on the BlurOutputFormat validate that the number of
reducers is valid number. Also check that the Blur table exists and that the number of shards
in the FS match the table descriptor.
