Aaron McCurry commented on BLUR-18:
-----------------------------------

Well at this point the new api is all in my head, which is not a good place for collaboration.
:) At some point later today I will create a google document (or some other type of tool
for collaborative documents) of what I'm currently thinking of for this part of the system
and I will post a shared link here so that we walk through how it could work. That way we
can work through whatever changes we come up with, and have a high level document explaining
how we came up with the design. How does this sound?

> Currently the only way to implement indexing is to use the BlurReducer. A better way
to implement this would be to support Hadoop input/outputformats in both the new and old api's.
This would allow an easier integration with other Hadoop projects such as Hive and Pig.
