Subject [jira] [Created] (BIGTOP-565) catalina-based services should be really careful with catalina stop
Date Fri, 27 Apr 2012 20:16:52 GMT
Roman Shaposhnik created BIGTOP-565:
---------------------------------------

             Summary: catalina-based services should be really careful with catalina stop
                 Key: BIGTOP-565
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-565
             Project: Bigtop
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: General
    Affects Versions: 0.4.0
            Reporter: Roman Shaposhnik
            Assignee: Roman Shaposhnik
             Fix For: 0.4.0

It turns out that catalina init.d scripts tend to bail out a lot during the stop action. Here's
yet another problem with them:

{noformat}
# catalina.sh stop
PID file found but no matching process was found. Stop aborted.
{noformat}

This breaks services that rely on catalina stop action doing the right thing (httpfs and Oozie)
