Bruno Mahé commented on BIGTOP-210:
-----------------------------------

Bigtop does not know what OS/Arch it's running on.
For yum, it will just createrepo on the output directory. So there is not special layout.

> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BIGTOP-210
> Project: Bigtop
> Issue Type: Improvement

> Bigtop currently have a single repo with architecture-specific sub directories, eg
> <version>/RPMS
> i386/
> noarch/
> x86_64/
> We should use the standard redhat layout and have a repo per arch, eg
> centos/6/os/
> SRPMS
> i386/
> x86_64
> This will prevent issues like automatically install 32-bit packages on a 64-bit system
which can clobber existing 64-bit packages.
