Subject Re: Ambari as a monitoring tool
Date Wed, 20 Mar 2013 02:45:06 GMT
Hi Prem,
As of now Ambari can only monitor what it manages/provisions. There
is work involved to use Ambari to take over cluster (on the roadmap
at: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/AMBARI/Roadmap). This
is something that we are starting to look at via
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ambari-1423.

Do take a look and see if that would solve your requirements.
