Reverting to cachable=false as we need to review and ensure that all calls do the right thing
wrt. keeping the cache up to date. Also, modified the abortOperation call to ensure DAO refresh.
There is no unit test for DB calls. Tested manually by injecting failure to a multi-stage
request (e.g. Start All).
