Yusaku Sako commented on AMBARI-1863:
-------------------------------------

Per http://incubator.apache.org/ambari/1.2.2/installing-hadoop-using-ambari/content/ambari-chap2-1.html,
you'd first need to do:
{noformat}
rpm -Uvh http://public-repo-1.hortonworks.com/ambari/centos6/1.x/GA/ambari-1.x-1.el6.noarch.rpm
{noformat}

This installs a yum repo file with the path /etc/yum.repos.d/ambari.repo.
This has a section for HDP-UTILS, which contains the nagios-plugin RPM.

{noformat}
# yum list nagios-plugin*

Loaded plugins: amazon-id, product-id, rhui-lb, security, subscription-manager
Updating certificate-based repositories.

> My os is centos 6.3.
> Ambari fail to install nagios because it can not found package nagios-plugins-1.4.9-1
when Ambari automatically uses yum install.
> when i search the package using yum search nagios, there is no any nagios-plugins in
the result.
> please excuse my poor English.
