Siddharth Wagle created AMBARI-1657:
---------------------------------------

Summary: User directories on HDFS do not get created with custom names provided
from Ambari UI
                 Key: AMBARI-1657
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-1657
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: agent
    Affects Versions: 1.2.2
            Reporter: Siddharth Wagle
            Assignee: Siddharth Wagle
            Priority: Blocker
             Fix For: 1.2.2

User directories on HDFS do not get created with custom names provided from Ambari UI
Steps:
1. Using install wizard of Ambari , at Customize Services step change the user names under
misc tab. For example change hive user to hivetest , oozie user to ooziest, hcat user to chattiest
2. Complete installation of the cluster
3. Post install check the users on hdfs
hadoop fs -ls /user
drwxr-xr-x - hcat hdfs 0 2013-03-12 19:43 /user/hcat
drwx------ - hivetest hdfs 0 2013-03-12 19:42 /user/hive
drwxrwxr-x - oozietest hdfs 0 2013-03-12 19:46 /user/oozie

Also note the userid of the files for webhcat is still the default instead of chattiest
