Mahadev konar commented on AMBARI-1442:
---------------------------------------

Tom,
 We are marking the pointintime as false for all ganglia properties and adding otherwise in
jmx right? How do we decide that we need need to return point in time metrics vs temporal?
Is it based on query? Also, if you do a fields=* then how do we figure out that we need to
return all the point in time metrics for all we know about?

> In spite of the fact that some hadoop jobs that were performed, all fields of shuffle
metrics have 0.0 values.
> Used the following request to get shuffle metrics:
> {code}
> api/v1/clusters/clusterName/hosts/hostName/host_components/TASKTRACKER?fields=metrics/mapred/shuffleOutput
> {code}
> Result:
> {code}
> "metrics" : {
> "mapred" : {
> "shuffleOutput" :
> { "shuffle_success_outputs" : 0, "shuffle_handler_busy_percent" : 0, "shuffle_output_bytes"
: 0, "shuffle_failed_outputs" : 0, "shuffle_exceptions_caught" : 0 }
> }
> }
> {code}
