Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-1413) Get rid of specialized request objects
Date Tue, 12 Feb 2013 19:19:14 GMT
Tom Beerbower created AMBARI-1413:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Get rid of specialized request objects
                 Key: AMBARI-1413
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-1413
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Sub-task
            Reporter: Tom Beerbower
            Assignee: Tom Beerbower
             Fix For: 1.3.0

The AmbariManagementController uses specialized request types for each resource type. Since
the resource providers use generic request and predicate objects to describe the resource
request parameters, there is a translation step required to make AmbariManagementController
calls. Since we got rid of the AmbariManagementController in AMBARI-1400, we should now be
able to get rid of the translation step and associated specialized request objects. See getPropertyMaps()
in AbstractResourceProvider and getRequest() in each of the subclasses.
