Subject [jira] [Created] (AMBARI-1410) Provide a consistent sort order for API responses
Date Tue, 12 Feb 2013 19:13:12 GMT
John Speidel created AMBARI-1410:
------------------------------------

Summary: Provide a consistent sort order for API responses
                 Key: AMBARI-1410
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-1410
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Sub-task
            Reporter: John Speidel
            Assignee: John Speidel
             Fix For: 1.3.0

Currently, properties and sub-resources of an API response do not have a defined sort order
so identical queries may be returned with different orderings.

This task is to simply provide a consistent sort order for API responses, not necessarily
to allow the user to specify a sort order. The default sort order would order the fields/resource
names based on the default string comparator.
