No, not necessarily; it just looks like you have some binary data in your key. Were you not expecting that? Are you reusing Texts or anything? Accumulo doesn't look at individual lines to put them where they should go. It just looks at the key range of the file and finds out which tablets cover that range. If the keys weren't in sorted order that would be a problem; but you can't write an RFile with keys out of order. Billie
