Subject [jira] [Commented] (IGNITE-6686) Document SQL Data Types
Date Tue, 14 Nov 2017 23:56:00 GMT

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IGNITE-6686?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16252708#comment-16252708

Denis Magda commented on IGNITE-6686:

[~ptupitsyn], [~isapego],

Please fill out .NET, C++ and ODBC for these types:

Referring to this source {{H2DatabaseType}}, some of the types' mappings are ambiguous. For
instance, {{TIMESTAMP}} maps to both {{java.util.Date}} and {{java.sql.Timestamp}} [1]. It's
clear that if a user passes {{java.util.Date}} or {{java.sql.Timestamp}} value then it will
be marked as {{TIMESTAMP}}. However, what's the default type? Assume we support {{DEFAULT}}
constraint for columns and I need to initialize a {{TIMESTAMP}} column with a value. What
will be the type of the value?

> The data types page should include all SQL types supported and how they mapped to a language
or driver specific type. Presently the types are represented in a tabular format:
> https://apacheignite-sql.readme.io/v2.3/docs/data-types
> Guys, please help to fill out langage/drivers specific columns:
> # [~ptupitsyn] - .NET data types.
> # [~isapego] - C++ and ODBC data type.
> # [~al.psc] - JDBC and JAVA data types.
> [~vozerov], please suggest what to do with these few types below. They supported by H2
but I'm not sure how Ignite deals with them:
