Subject [jira] [Commented] (IGNITE-6244) .NET: Thin client: ScanQuery
Date Mon, 11 Sep 2017 14:09:01 GMT

Pavel Tupitsyn commented on IGNITE-6244:

3) Actually, there is a problem here. For .NET (and other non-Java clients) we will always
use cache in binary mode to handle requests. But not for Java. We already have a flag byte
in the protocol for cache operations. I'll make sure it is used.

> Implement ScanQuery in thin client.
> Challenges:
> * Query cursor. This will require some kind of HandleRegistry on Java side, so we can
pass an ID back to client (see {{OdbcRequestHandler.qryCursors}} as an example).
> * Predicate. Thin client is not .NET-specific. We need a way to support predicates in
(at least) Java and .NET, there should be some platform id.
