I believe it is a very good idea! But..., I would suggest to have the separation done as a
follow up JIRA. This is really an improvement to provide for the pluggable compression modules.
Clearly, a feature could be improved endlessly, but in the interest of progressing forward
and avoiding bit-rot it would make sense to make smaller, reservable steps. While it won't
always be perfect, smaller consequent improvements are superior to a single feature, that
accounts for everything at once.

So, if current implementation is good, let's get it in and work on the compression separation
in the next iteration. [~irudyak], could you please create a new ticket for that? Thanks!
