I think the schema in question is a DB-schema which afaik, is only injectable using the configuration
file solution, because iBATIS does not modify the SQL statements you write in any way.

Yes, use something like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE sqlMap

PUBLIC "-//ibatis.apache.org//DTD SQL Map 2.0//EN"

"dtd/sql-map-2.dtd">

and put your file inside the dtd directory... i have a resource directory that eclipse recognize
as a source directory.
