You will have to use Spring to manage at least the DB-related parts of your application, in
order to inject the DataSource into the sqlMapClient, and the sqlMapClient into the DAOs.

You do not have to use Spring for anything else, like managing your Struts action classes,
if you use the ServiceLocator pattern (or similar) to get the DAOs from Spring when they are

I am using ibatis in a Struts based web application. To use the Spring DAO's
for ibatis which I generated from abator, is it necessary that I am using
spring or do I just need to import the libraries.
