I am using AJP to connect to tomcat.

Entry in the config file looks like

<Proxy balancer://cluster>
         BalancerMember ajp://myserver:8009 route=node2
         ProxySet lbmethod=bytraffic
         ProxySet stickysession=JSESSIONID
  </Proxy>
