I see that you are trying to run Apache httpd as a service on Windows.
What version of Apache httpd are you using?

The Apache HTTP Server documentation can be very helpful.
But there is a lot of it, and that can be a little confusing to someone who is new to Apache.
For your situation I recommend beginning with the following link:
- Running Apache as a Service
   - http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/platform/windows.html#winsvc
   - This link is specific Windows.

You can then refer to the following link for starting Apache in general:
- Starting Apache

You are trying to Start Apache without root permission or port 80 is in use.

If you want your apache to be running on any other port apart from 80, you can configure the same in httpd.conf by defining listen address, but then your app url will have to have port number.

HI All

I am new to forum. Please can anyone help me with below issue.

I am trying to install Apache server as a service and below is message I get. After doing google most of them point to that port 80 is used by some service/process. The posts talk about disabling IIS / Web Management Service. We cannot disable IIS but I have tried to disable Web Management Service. There are no other programs installed on server 2008 R2 where I am trying install.

OS 10013)An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its acces

s permissions.  : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80

no listening sockets available, shutting down

Unable to open logs

Thanks

Shailender
