this is the output, when I run the command "apache2ctl -S= " on my Debian VM (guest machine), hosted on a Fedora-14 machine ::
######################################################################= #########
VirtualHost configuration:
wildcard NameVirtualHosts and _default_ serve= rs:
*:443=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 127.0.1.1 (= /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default:48)
*:80=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0= =A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 is a NameVirtualHost
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0= =A0=A0 default server ceibal.uy (/etc/apac= he2/sites-enabled/000-default:1)
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 port 80 namevhost cei= bal.uy (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/000-default:1)
=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0= =A0=A0 port 80 namevhost biblio= teca.ceibal.edu.uy (/etc/apache2/sites-enabled/001-biblioteca:3)
###########################################################################= ####

So, what does this indicate? Is the WebDAV configured corre= ctly at least?

If yes, then I just need to figure out the remote acc= ess thing (i.e. accessing webdav shares from the host machine, Fedora-14, v= ia firefox) :-)

Thanks and Regards,
Ajay

Does that mean that the webdav is still not properly configured/started? Or it could be a false negative?

It means nothing is listening on port 443 of your localhost address.
That does not preclude it listening on port 443 of your ethernet
address.

Try
=A0apache2ctl -S

which will tell you the hosts apache think's it has configured, and
have a look at your logs.

(httpd -S requires other stuff to be set up on Debian)
