Subject [users@httpd] what is importance of DocumentRoot
Date Mon, 19 Jul 2010 17:07:22 GMT
I checked this page
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/urlmapping.html#documentroot

It says
"Apache's default behavior is to take the URL-Path for the request
(the part of the URL following the hostname and port) and add it to
the end of the DocumentRoot specified in your configuration files"

does that mean
 a request for http://www.myexample.com/site/css/some.css
Apache will take URL-Path from above as /site/css/some.css and add if
Document Root is /var/www
it will add it to the end like
/var/www//site/css/some.css
and then serve the page/
