In your case, since you are planning to use Ubuntu (a good Idea in my=
opinion) and seem not to have that much experience yet (not that this
is a problem, I was once a novice too) I'd suggest you simple take the<= br> apache that comes with Ubuntu.

Basically just install Ubuntu 64 bit (server version if this is going
to be a server), and then once it's up and running you can install
apache with a simple comand:

"sudo apt-get install apache2"

That's really all it takes. With ubuntu it is possible to go from bare<= br> metal to a fully functioning "LAMP" server in 20 minutes.
