Subject [users@httpd] Serving subdomains - ProxyPassMatch issues
Date Thu, 25 Jun 2009 18:15:10 GMT
Hi,

We want to serve an unlimited number of subdomains (
http://subdomain1.domain.com http://subdomain2.domain.com) from an app
server in the following way:
http://localhost:port/somecontext/?param=subdomain1,
http://localhost:port/somecontext/?param=subdomain2 resp.

Any ideas on how this can be done?

Using RewriteRule and ProxyPass changes the browser URL. However, we don't
want the browser URL to change.

We tried using ProxyPassMatch but that doesn't seem to work at all.

<VirtualHost *:80>
  ServerName www.test.resu.me
  ServerAdmin karthikmanimaran@gmail.com
  ProxyPassMatch  ^www\.([^.]+)\.domain\.com(.*)
http://localhost:8080/home/?param1=$1$2

</VirtualHost>

Thanks,
Karthik.
