how about the apache virtual directory:
# httpd.conf
Alias /d/ "D:/web/"
    <Directory "D:/web/">
        Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks
        AllowOverride All
        Order allow,deny
        Allow from all
    </Directory>

you can access via http://server/d/
