Subject [users@httpd] mod_rewrite, mod_proxy, order of execution?
Date Wed, 15 Oct 2008 08:47:18 GMT
Hello ,

I have the following config in httpd.conf:

my site is http://www.example.com (port 80)

==================

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule   ^/$            /cgi-bin/index.cgi

ProxyPass          /cgi-bin/ http://www.example.com:9000/cgi-bin/
ProxyPassReverse   /cgi-bin/ http://www.example.com:9000/cgi-bin/

==================

If I type http://www.example.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi, it was ok.
If I type http://www.example.com/, it show 404 document not found.

But suppose I have rewrite "/" as /cgi-bin/, so eventually it will proxy to
http://www.example.com:9000/cgi-bin/.

Seems that Rewrite is done after the proxy? How to control the order then?

Thanks.
