I've connected my apache and tomca= t using mod_jk=0Ain my httpd.conf I wrote =0ASetEnv REMOTE_USER xxx=0APassE= nv REMOTE_USER=0A=0Aand then in tomcat I just wrote a file =0A=0A<% out.pri= nt (request.getAttribute("REMOTE_USER")); %> and well enough, I got xxx pri= nted on the page=0A=0Anow, I installed a module for authentication in apach= e, wrote a small php file that prints out all the headers and I got a big l= ist among which REMOTE_USER had the value equal to the username. But now, i= n tomcat, the same small file doesn't return anything even though REMOTE_US= ER has a value and in httpd.conf I left the PassEnv REMOTE_USER line.=0A=0A= So where's the catch? If I set the environment and pass it, tomcat sees it,= if it's set by the authentication module and I just pass it, tomcat doesn'= t see it. anybody knows why?=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A________________________________= __________________=0ADo You Yahoo!?=0ATired of spam?
