Subject [users@httpd] No pidfile
Date Tue, 25 Sep 2007 01:34:16 GMT
Dear experts,

I have inherited administration for a particular APACHE setup. In the
conf file, it actually sets a location for the pidfile as follows:

PidFile /var/run/httpd.pid

However, upon listing the contents of /var/run/ there is no httpd.pid.
In fact, there is no httpd.pid on any server. The server is running.
Does anyone know how this could be?

Environment: Apache 1.3 on Solaris 8

Cheers, Craig
