Dear experts,

I have inherited administration for a particular APACHE setup. In the
conf file, it actually sets a location for the pidfile as follows:

PidFile /var/run/

However, upon listing the contents of /var/run/ there is no

Does anyone know how this could be?

Environment: Apache 1.3 on Solaris 8
