Instead of using the defaults, why not make a which has the ServerName of "localhost" and any other hostnames you have assigned to your IP. That way, you can control the exact location where the data is located from and make sure that it is correct. Be sure to remove any other default directives so as to make sure that you aren't accidently loading from the wrong one.
