Heh, I should have mentioned... I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to apache
- which config file are we talking about here, httpd.conf, .htaccess or other?

> > Alright, so I'm loving the challenge here, but loathing the >
fact that I can't seem to make any progress... Trying to > password protect different
regions of my site, and I haven't > seen any change at all, nor has anyone mentioned
any > username/password requests.... However, browsing through my > errorlog,
I found numerous entries like the following: > > [Fri Jul 13 20:56:32 2007]
[error] [client] > client denied by server configuration: C:/Program Files
> (x86)/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/files/.htaccess > >
and a similar log referencing the .htpasswd file. Now, I'm no > expert, but I'm 100%
positive that I have not been denied > access... What am I doing wrong here? If anyone
can clear > this up for me, they might possibly earn god status in my > eyes....
or maybe even admin status :P > > > -Jeff
