Subject [users@httpd] Need pointer to info/doc - esoteric mod_auth_db* question
Date Mon, 09 Oct 2006 17:58:22 GMT
I need to use HTTP BasicAuth in front of a Bugzilla instance,
and want the auth mechanism to set the user's email address.

When using LDAP, you just ask for additional attributes beyond
the username in the LDAP URL, and they get added to the environment
automatically, with names AUTHENTICATE_[attrname].

In this case, LDAP isn't an option and I need to use authn_dbd or
authn_dbm. Where should I look for help on how to get the BasicAuth
user's email address into the environment, assuming it's in the
database being queried by mod_authn_db[dm]? Is this even
possible.

TIA
