We pass all our dynamic content to Tomcat with this configuration
  RewriteEngine on
  RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /(.*).jsp(.*)
  RewriteRule ^/(.*) ajp://localhost:8010/$1 [P]

  RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /servlet/url/
  RewriteRule ^/(.*) ajp://localhost:8010/$1 [P]
,
Josh.
