Subject RE: [users@httpd] mod_proxy_balance sticky sessions without cookies?
Date Sun, 19 Mar 2006 19:38:51 GMT
Hi Sam,

i have had the same problem and i
resolve it for me with a source
change inside "mod_proxy_balancer.c"

In the function "get_path_param"
i made the stickyness parameter from
the apache config [JESSIONID] lowercase,
because here you will get everytime
the identifier as "jsessionid".

If is anybody out there which knows some
better and easier way, i am glad to know it.

Greetings

Oliver

Betreff: [users@httpd] mod_proxy_balance sticky sessions without cookies?

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way to use mod_proxy_balancer without relying on
cookies for sticky sessions? How can I use a session id from the query
string or from the POST data to keep sessions sticky?

This seems like a common and essential need as not every browser accepts
cookies, yet I can't find any info on how this might be accomplished.

Thanks for any clues that you can offer,
- Sam Nilsson
