I don't know, but I would be very surprised if there was any measurable speed difference between the two unless you use mod_cache or the new event mpm. But performance benchmarks are almost meaningless anyway unless they are done in the context of your particular environment and needs.=20 Serving ordinary static files either of these servers could easily fill a very large network pipe.
