Well, initially, I get:

[prompt]# gdb /usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd /tmp/core.21922

...
This GDB was configured as "i386-redhat-linux-gnu"...Using host
libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".
Failed to read a valid object file image from memory.
Core was generated by `/usr/local/apache2/bin/httpd -k start'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
Cannot access memory at address 0x4c0064e4
#0  0xb7df6efc in ?? ()
