Hi,

Removing the "R" broke it :-(

Now when I go to www.mydomain.com/frontpage it does not re-write it at all, just giving me
back a "page cannot be found" instead.

  Seriously, there is a "rewrite" of the mod_rewrite docs underway at
  http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/rewrite/
  but it is kind of stalled.
