I'm installing it on a new Machine running a brand new Debian Sarge, ... I compiled it (apache 2.0.54), (./configure --prefix=/opt/apache --sysconfdir=/etc/apache --enable-auth-dbm --enable-mime-magic --enable-expires --enable-headers --enable-ssl --enable-http --enable-proxy --enable-proxy-connect --enable-proxy-ftp --enable-proxy-http --enable-dav --enable-cgi --enable-dav-fs --enable-rewrite --enable-so) make && make install and took the configuration from a running Apache 2.0.52. For one or the other reason, the Virtual hosts part is not working.
