As the song goes:

Bad boys! Bad boys!
What ya gonna do? :)

Isn't it always security first?

Will the next Windows OS system
_only_ allow MSI installs?

Is it time for _all_ to learn MSI?

Are not every Apache Software Foundation
project developer already doing MSI
tests, each time they add "their code"
to the current ASF's project code?

If not (and the should be), then perhaps
those ASF developers (and those also
interested users) could use the below:

How to use the free Microsoft
XML based Windows Installer
(to make MSI files) called WiX
on the command line using NMake
or within Visual Studio C++ 2003.

(or even with NAnt and MSBuild, the
new no makefile Windows way too)

I'm here today to show
you how simple setup
coding can be for the
individual developer so
that his or her effort
goes directly towards
shipping the final product
instead of simply creating
work for another developer
on the team.

This article only scratches
the surface of the WiX toolset's
capabilities, but I hope it
encourages you to consider
that setup packaging is an
integral part of your development
