Maybe something like this??

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} =PUT
    RewriteRule .* - [F]

It will return error 403 Forbidden. You can enclose it in <Directory> or <Location>
contexts if you wish.

Does anyone know how to disable the HTTP PUT command in Apache?
 
I need to do this for security reasons.
