Subject [users@httpd] UserDir over https
Date Fri, 18 Feb 2005 06:54:07 GMT
Hi list,

I'm having problems setting up user directories under https virtual host.

The situation: I have two http virtual hosts. One https virtual host. One of
http vhosts share the same DocumentRoot and ServerName as https vhost. And
now i'd like to set up user directories only for https vhost. Here are my
vhost settings:

<VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80>
        ServerName host1.domain.com
        ServerAdmin admin@domain.com
        DocumentRoot /path/to/doc/root1
 ...
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80>
        ServerName host2.domain.com
        ServerAdmin admin@domain.com
        DocumentRoot /path/to/doc/root2
 ...
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:443>
        ServerName host2.domain.com
        ServerAdmin admin@domain.com
        DocumentRoot /path/to/doc/root2
        DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.cgi
        Include /etc/httpd/conf.d/httpd-ssl.conf
        UserDir /path/to/user/*/public_html
        <Directory /path/to/user/*/public_html>
            AllowOverride All
            Options MultiViews ExecCGI FollowSymlinks Indexes
SymLinksIfOwnerMatch IncludesNoExec
            DirectoryIndex index.php
            <Limit GET POST OPTIONS PROPFIND>
                Order allow,deny
                Allow from all
            </Limit>
            <LimitExcept GET POST OPTIONS PROPFIND>
                Order deny,allow
                Deny from all
            </LimitExcept>
        </Directory>
</VirtualHost>

The result i'm expecting is that i would get 404 Error for
http://host2.domain.com/~user/, but 200 for https://host2.domain.com/~user/.
Now result i'm getting is 403 for http://host2.domain.com/~user/ if user has
no index file and normal 200 if user has index file. The same requests goes
to host1.domain.com.
