I may not have understood your post aright, but the patches there should
make cookies work in a proxy.  With 2.1 CVS you shouldn't need any patch -
code to deal with cookies is in there.  If 2.1 (unpatched) is failing, we 
could use a more precise problem description to see if there's a new bug.
