Subject [users@httpd] Errors: Can't assign requested address
Date Tue, 01 Feb 2005 16:13:26 GMT
Hi all,

I'm working on upgrading our apache server from 1.3.26 to 2.0.52
on AIX. My testing has gone well, and I tried putting the server
into production last night. When I did, I saw errors logged in
error_log which I hadn't seen in my testing:

[Mon Jan 31 21:30:49 2005] [warn] (68)Can't assign requested address: connect to
 listener
[Mon Jan 31 21:30:50 2005] [warn] (68)Can't assign requested address: connect to
 listener

 listener

 listener
[Mon Jan 31 21:30:53 2005] [warn] (68)Can't assign requested address: connect to
 listener
[Mon Jan 31 21:30:54 2005] [warn] (68)Can't assign requested address: connect to
 listener

 listener
[Mon Jan 31 21:30:56 2005] [warn] (68)Can't assign requested address: connect to
 listener

I saw over 600 of these logged in 1.5 hours. They seemed to be logged
one per second in batches of 5 to 12 at a time. Then a break and then
another batch of errors.

The server seemed to be running fine. I have it configured with
OpenSSL 0.9.7e.

I've searched on google and these list archives and can't find anything
like this. Any help or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks,
Jackie Hunt
