Yes, it is possible. There are no conflicts between mod_php and mod_cgi.
The possible conflicts between mod_perl and mod_php which were alluded
to in another response are ancient history.

The CGI tutorial (http://httpd.apache.org/docs/howto/cgi.html) covers
CGI configuration. The language that you use for CGI, whether it is
Perl, Python, or Lisp, does not affect the means of configuration, so
that doc should do you, whatever language you choose to program in.
