Subject [users@httpd] Problem with RewriteCond & RewriteRule functionalities.
Date Wed, 26 Jan 2005 17:23:57 GMT

I've got a problem with the RewriteCond & RewriteRule
functionalities and I ask your help...

Here is the behaviour I expect :
- I try to see : http://localhost/test.htm
- if the page 'test.htm' does not exist, I have to be
redirected (in hidden) to 'test_old.htm'
- if the page exists, I have to see the page.

Here is the httpd.conf :

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-s
RewriteRule /(.*)htm$ /$1_old.html [R]

The current situation is : I am always redirected to
test_old.htm and not in hidden :'(

Is there something wrong in my code ?

Thank you for your help,
