Subject [users@httpd] Re:problem adding trailing slash, when using rewrite-proxy
Date Fri, 14 Jan 2005 08:12:01 GMT
Getting no answer,
I solved the problem myself using the preceding RewriteRule:

RewriteRule ^/~([^/]+)$ /§1/  [QSA,R]

Thanks and By

Martin

Hi,

my problem is the following:
having activated "mod_rewrite" and "mod_proxy", I am able to rewrite the data of
my inner apache-webserver
         "intwww.mydomain.de"

to my outer webserver
           "www.mydomain.de"
that can be accessed by external users,
and is configuered with:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule  ^/(.*)   http://intwww.mydomain.de/$1    [P]

or also (second possibility):

ProxyPass / http://intwww.mydomain.de/
ProxyPassReverse / http://intwww.mydomain.de/

Nearly all demands to "www.mydomain.de" succeeded in using the configuration
from "intwww.mydomain.de" (even the execution of cgi-scripts).

Only when I am asking for a users $home-directory with:

http://www.mydomain.de/~§user
for
$user = user1/    =>   it works

but for:
$user = user1     =>   redirect to "intwww.mydomain.de"
                       => no access for external users

Any attempt to add the "trailing slash" additionally with a preceeding
"RewriteRule" failed !

Some Idea ?

Any help will be appreciated

Martin
